Train derails at Sprigg, WV

A Norfolk Southern train traveling between Matewan, W.Va., and Williamson, W.Va., derailed Saturday afternoon as it was crossing the Sprigg intersection which connects W.Va. Route 49 running through Rawl and Matewan and Ky. 292 (Aflex/Burnwell). Crews from Norfolk Southern worked throughout the night to clear the tracks and the crossing. Repair work in the immediate vicinity is still ongoing. No injuries were reported.
