On Thursday, Fazoli’s President and CEO Carl Howard announced that the Lexington-based Italian chain restaurant will continue its “aggressive growth and further expand its footprint within Eastern Kentucky,” and after more than 20 years, Fazoli’s will be returning to Pikeville.
According to the statement, “America’s largest premium QSR Italian chain has executed an area development agreement with Franchisees Jordan Stapleton and his fiancé Hilary Harkins to bring one restaurant to Pikeville in the summer of 2020.”
Stapleton will run the new Fazoli’s with his mother, Anita Stapleton, as well as Harkins. According to the statement, the Stapleton family has been in the restaurant business for more than 30 years and saw the opportunity as way to strengthen their relationship. Due to Fazoli’s warm, friendly atmosphere and indulgent food, the statement said, Harkins knew this was the best concept for them, especially as they all become a family.
“We are teaming up to create a family business that will be loved in the Pikeville community,” Harkins said. “Currently, there is not a Fazoli’s near Pikeville, and we are in need of premium Italian food here. There used to be a Fazoli’s in Pikeville long ago, and now, we’re bringing it back for all of the fans who have missed it so dearly.”
The location of the new Fazoli’s has yet to be announced.
