On Monday, the Pikeville Community Kitchen handed out goodie bags full of food items such as soup, rice, crackers, oatmeal, pudding and other such items at the Pikeville United Methodist Church downtown to individuals who stopped by. The group made up of individuals from around the county, also purchased a number of pizzas from Dominos in downtown Pikeville and handed those out as well. Organizers said they try to hold events such at this every month to try and help the community out as much as possible.
