Chole Hall, 1 week old infant daughter of Glen Hall and Ashley Adkins, of Williamson, W.Va., gained her angel wings on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 9, 2019, at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel of Toler, with Pearl Blankenship speaking. Burial will follow at the Mt. View Memory Gardens, Maher, West Virginia.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 8, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hatfield Funeral Chapel of Toler.

Jackie Johnson

Jackie Johnson, 68, of Jenkins, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, at Whitesburg ARH, Letcher County.

He was born in Pike County, March 1, 1951, the son of the late Jesse and Annett Johnson.

He was a self-employed truck driver and of the Church of Christ Faith.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Johnson; his niece, Sarah Brown (Bacchus) and their son, Cole; his aunts, Vonda Johnson, Croma Tackett and Inez Bentley; his uncle, Gene Bow; and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, at the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church with Jeff Slone and Greg Polly officiating. Burial will follow at the Calhoun Cemetery, East Jenkins.

Visitation will continue on Saturday, Dec. 7, at the church, with special services beginning at 7 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lucas & Son Funeral Home of Pikeville.

Darrell Mounts

Darrell Eugene Mounts, 69, of Phyllis, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019, at his residence.

He was born at Vulcan, W.Va., May 8, 1950, a son of the late Amos and Shirley Wolford Mounts.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Sue Mounts, who died at birth; two brothers, Roland Clayton Wolford and Bobby Mounts; and a sister, Della Rae Caupp.

He was the cherished husband of Eva Anderson Mounts. He was a retired truck driver. He loved riding his horse when his health permitted and was a wonderful grandfather who enjoyed his grandchildren.  

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Shirley Gillespie (Reed), of Kimper; four brothers, Steve Mounts (Betty), of Phelps, Robert Mounts (Tammy), of Delaware, Amos Mounts (Shelly), of Dayton, Ohio, and Larry Wolford, of Delaware; two grandchildren, Matthew Justice and Adia Gillespie, of Kimper; and a host of family and friends.  

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at the Jones & West Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bud Crum and Rev. Gene Gross officiating. Burial will follow at the Freeburn Community Cemetery, Freeburn. Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones & West Funeral Home of Phelps.

Dianna Triplett

Dianna Triplett, 61, of Pinsonfork, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, at her residence.

She was born at South Williamson, April 25, 1958, the daughter of the late Oscar Kennedy and Delores June Scott Kennedy.

She was a graduate of Belfry High School Class of 1976 and a former manager of the Sycamore Inn.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Greg Triplett; her daughter, Jaime Brock (Jimmy); her brother, Brian Kennedy (Kim); her sister, Debbie Conley (Roger); her grandchildren, Sydney and Caidence Brock; her nephew, Mark Conley; her special friend, Penny Runyon; her beloved dog, Barron; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry.
