A farewell to a community servant

Fellow firemen and police officers from Kentucky and West Virginia joined more than 200 family members and friends at the Belfry High School Auditorium Tuesday to pay final homage to long-time Belfry Volunteer Fire Department member and Pike County Sheriff’s Deputy James Earl Williams, who died Dec. 28 following several years of declining health. At the conclusion of the funeral service, the PCSD and the BVFD provided a formal firemen’s funeral procession along the route to the Smith Cemetery at Sidney.
