A more visible tribute

Local and state officials, among others, joined members of Pikeville’s Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3769 and the Pikeville Rotary Club for the dedication of a new sign for the city’s Veterans Memorial Park along Hambley Boulevard Wednesday. Nathan Sesco with the Pikeville VFW post thanked the Rotary Club and the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs for helping fund the new sign. “There are people we know on this memorial,” Sesco said while discussing the importance of the park and it being visible to passersby. Sesco also thanked the community for its support of local VFW efforts and for the growth of the park.
