A Pikeville man was arrested this week after allegedly showing up at the Pike County Judicial Center while intoxicated.

According to court documents, George Cantrell, 25, of Vanover Lane, Pikeville, arrived at the judicial center at 9 a.m. Monday. Court documents said Cantrell “appeared to be intoxicated.”

Court documents said Cantrell “had slurred speech,” was unsteady on his feet and was unable to stand still. Court documents said Cantrell had to use his arms to balance himself while performing a one-leg stand and a walk-and-turn exercise. Cantrell was arrested and charged with public intoxication, and was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center. He was ordered held on a $10,000, or 10 percent bond.

Troy N. Evans, 35, of West Jefferson Street, Louisville, parole violation, flagrant nonsupport and contempt of court.

Melissa D. Wolford, 33, of Borderland Road, South Williamson, failure to pay fines and contempt of court.

Russell E. Stiltner, 37, of Elkhorn Creek Road, Elkhorn City, fugitive from another state and failure to appear in court.

Sarah E. Griffith, 27, of Bob Bishop Road, Mouthcard, hindering prosecution or apprehension.

Gregory Kiser, 49, of Collins Highway, Pikeville, DUI, second-degree terroristic threatening and traffic charges.

Cheryl Ramsey, 39, of Willow Hollow, Elkhorn City, failure to pay fines.

Douglas M. Stiltner, 42, of Joe McCoy Road, Phelps, failure to pay fines.

Editor’s note: The above list reflects people who are lodged in the Pike County Detention Center. The charges against them are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
