Newsboys set to return to Pikeville

Newsboys will be returning to Pikeville this fall as the Christian music supergroup will be headlining, by popular demand, the “Greatness of our God” fall tour.

Former members Peter Furler and Phil Joel, with Newsboys’ Michael Tait, Duncan Phillips, Jeff Frankenstein and Jody Davis will hit the road for, what the press release said, is one of Christian rock’s most anticipated tours, and will span to more than 30 cities around the country, including Pikeville on Oct. 20.

The tour, which will kick off Sept. 12 in Troy, Ohio, comes on the heels of the history-making #1 album, United, and will feature GRAMMY nominated artist Ryan Stevenson, along with acclaimed singer/songwriter Adam Agee and special guest appearance by former dcTalk member and singer/songwriter Kevin Max.

“We are excited to have the Newsboys back,” said Appalachian Wireless Arena Marketing Director Josh Kesler. “They are truly one of the most influential bands in Christian music history.”

Ticket prices include: $29, $34, $44, $79 and $69 for Gold VIP, as well as Platinum VIP for $179. Group rates are available, according to Kesler, as groups of 10 or more get $5 off P1, P2, P3 and P4 price levels.
