The Pikeville Farmer’s Market opened for the season Saturday, offering a selection of locally-grown produce and homemade goods. Sugar snap beans, lettuces and herbs are currently in season with Pike-County produced Maple Syrup and Apple Butter from David Walker Farms, tomato and pepper seedlings by Burning Point Farms, gourmet treats by Sweetie’s Cupcakes and any number of crafts by local artisans for anyone looking for something unique for themselves or as a gift. The Pikeville Farmer’s Market is open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. until the end of September.
