More teens charged with You Tube crimes BY LEIGH ANN WELLSSTAFF WRITER BELFRY - Four more teens have been arrested and charged in a case that falls under the umbrella of the Pike County Sheriff's Department's recent war on vandalism. Deputy Bill McCoy said yesterday that four people - Kayla Rose, 19, of the Belfry area; Nick Newsome, 19, of Crum, W.Va.; Ashley Butcher, no age available, of the Belfry area and Jessica May, no age available, of the Belfry area - have been arrested and charged with burglary and criminal mischief. The suspects allegedly broke into the former home of the late Carl and Virginia Loftis, which is located on the same hill as the South Side Mall in Goody. They allegedly removed items from the unoccupied mansion and busted a door. McCoy said that just like in the recent arrests of two Belfry High School students - Charles Jeremy Brown, 18, of Belfry and a juvenile - video clips of the four apparently inside of the Loftis house were placed on the Internet site You Tube. The four have been remanded to the Pike County Detention Center, but no bond information was available due to computer problems. McCoy said the case is still under investigation and more arrests are expected. He said several reports of people going in and out of the Loftis house have been received by the sheriff's department. “The sheriff (Charles “Fuzzy” Keesee) is really wanting to put a stop to this,” McCoy stressed. “He is determined to put an end to this vandalism.”
